JIMBARAN - A different learning atmosphere will take place at Widiatmika Preschool in mid-January 2026 through the Camping Day program. For one full day, children step out of their usual classroom routine and learn through direct experiences that are closely connected to their daily lives.
The activity is held separately for each group. TK B students participate on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, followed by TK A on Thursday, January 15, 2026. From morning until late afternoon, children take part in a series of activities in an environment that is safe, structured, and nurturing.
Through Camping Day, children learn to take care of themselves, recognize small responsibilities, and interact with their peers. They prepare their own belongings, take turns, share spaces, and complete activities together. These simple moments become a natural way to build confidence, discipline, and care for others.
Ni Made Budiadnyani, S.Pd., Head of PAUD Widiatmika, explained that the program is part of character education through real-life experiences.
“Children learn not only from instructions, but from experiencing things themselves. From managing their own belongings to working together with friends,” she said.
Throughout the day, teachers accompany the children in every step, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. Lunch is provided by the school, while personal items are brought independently as part of practicing responsibility. Children learn to take care of their own things while understanding boundaries and shared rules.
Camping Day reminds us that early childhood education does not only happen in classrooms. Through simple daily experiences, children slowly learn about themselves, others, and their environment in a natural and meaningful way.
