JIMBARAN - Widiatmika Kindergarten and Elementary School held a Class Action Research (CAR) dissemination conducted by teachers Wednesday (27/4/2022). The head of SD Widiatmika, I Putu Edi Purwanta, said that all teachers have carried out this CAR since the beginning of the 2021/2022 school year.
In the CAR, the teachers had the opportunity to pour all the learning innovations they did in class into written works and scientific articles. In addition, this program is a routine program held every year.
"The background for this dissemination is continuous professional development. So, this is a routine program at SD Widiatmika and kindergarten. We do it once a year," said Edi on Wednesday night.
The teachers have even prepared their CAR independently, without being guided by university lecturers. Teachers can look for learning innovations through working groups in their respective classes.
For example, I Gede Sumerjaya innovates to improve the mastery of English vocabulary in fourth-grade elementary school students through the medium of song. There is also Imammudin, who innovates to improve the ability to memorize the short letter Al Ma'un through the pair practice method for fifth-grade elementary school students.
These kinds of breakthroughs are essential because, in the Merdeka Curriculum, which will be implemented in the 2022/2023 school year, teachers must be good at recognizing classroom situations and students' backgrounds. Through this curriculum, learning will be student-centered, so teachers must be good at adapting to class conditions, not the other way around.
"We hope that through this dissemination, we will be more ready to welcome the Independent Curriculum with the many innovations made by teachers as outlined in the CAR," said Edi.
There were 40 papers from 40 kindergarten and elementary school teachers which were disseminated and reviewed by lecturers from the Citra Bakti School of Teacher Training and Education (STKIP). Scientific articles are planned to be published in e-journals (online scientific journals) collaborating with STKIP Citra Bakti.
