MANGUPURA – All Widiatmika Elementary School students from grades I to VI participated in the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS) for the 2022/2023 academic year. This activity has the theme Smart Children with Character (AceKa) and will be held on 11-15 July 2022.

The principal of SD Widiatmika, Putu Edi Purwanta, said actually, this MPLS is a guide for the first grade only. However, the program was later designed for all levels.

"This MPLS implementer follows the academic calendar and the education calendar. As for the implementation until Friday, "said Edi.

This activity is a process of introducing school programs and is a step towards an independent curriculum.

"We take advantage of this MPLS as a diagnostic assessment time to meet the independent curriculum," he said.

First-grade students are invited to introduce themselves and the school environment. There are also joint religious activities, strengthening the profile of Pancasila students, reflection on fairy tales, joint exercise, socialization of waste sorting, to diagnostic assessments.

Grade II students will tell stories about their school holiday experiences, carry out literacy programs to read stories, receive seminars on clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), conduct religious activities, do waste sorting, listen to fairy tales, to diagnostic assessments.

Meanwhile, third-grade students will be given leadership materials, attend PHBS seminars, learn folk songs and Widiatmika hymns, make and decorate wall magazines, and carry out literacy and numeracy activities.

Students in grade IV will be invited to carry out religious activities, carry out literacy and numeracy activities, receive trial coding training, and receive diagnostic assessments.

For fifth-graders, they will do hydroponic gardening, receive literacy and numeracy materials, do gymnastics together, and run a "little doctor" program that the school has designed.

Lastly, grade VI students will carry out religious activities, receive literacy and numeracy materials, do gymnastics together, and do hydroponic gardening.
