JIMBARAN – Widiatmika Elementary School celebrated Teacher’s Day 2024 with love and gratitude, giving students the opportunity to express their appreciation for the teachers who have dedicated themselves throughout the year.
“The Teacher’s Day celebration at Widiatmika Elementary School aims to make teachers feel special on their day. The students have so much love for their teachers, and this event provides a platform for them to express it. They showed their gratitude by creating greeting cards, reading letters to the teachers, and providing entertainment through group singing,” said Ni Luh Putu Lia Krisnayanti, Chairperson of the 2024 Teacher’s Day Celebration Committee at Widiatmika Elementary School.
The event, held on Monday, November 25, 2024, in the school hall, adopted the theme “Great Teachers, Strong Indonesia,” aligning with the National Teacher’s Day 2024 theme. According to Lia, the theme reflects the aspirations of teachers to be a respected and proud profession, while also becoming a driving force for national progress.
Lia added that Widiatmika Elementary School used the momentum of Teacher’s Day 2024 to strengthen educational and character values by encouraging students to respect their teachers.
“The expected impact of this event is to foster a sense of togetherness and mutual care within the school environment, creating harmonious relationships among all members of Widiatmika Elementary School,” Lia explained.
The Teacher’s Day celebration at Widiatmika Elementary School was solemn yet joyful, involving the entire school community. The event began with a flag-raising ceremony, followed by creative activities such as making Teacher’s Day greeting cards and cutting cakes and tumpeng. As a token of appreciation, the committee also announced winners in categories such as Favorite Teacher, Creative and Innovative Teacher, and Disciplined Teacher.
“There was also entertainment, including Teacher’s Day greetings from student representatives and group singing. Additionally, student representatives presented flowers to all Widiatmika Elementary School teachers as a gesture of appreciation for their hard work throughout the year,” Lia concluded.
