MANGUPURA – Widiatmika High School (SMA Widiatmika) held an Introduction to the School Environment (MPLS) activity for new students for the 2022/2023 academic year. This activity was held to introduce new students to the school environment and the adaptation process before participating in learning activities.
This time, the MPLS implementation took the theme "Building the Potential and Character of Widiatmika High School Students to Realize the program of Profile of Pancasila Students.
The Chairman of the MPLS Committee for SMA Widiatmika, M. Sahli Mustapa, said that before participating in the MPLS which began on Monday, July 11, 2022, students must first take the Pre MPLS. The Pre MPLS will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, starting at 07.30 – 13.45 WITA.
"There are several activities carried out in this Pre MPLS starting from the provision of MPLS rules, the introduction of school equipment, as well as group division," said Sahli.
Meanwhile, for the MPLS itself, it will be held on 11-15 July 2022, starting at 07.30 – 14.00 WITA.
The first day on Monday, July 11, 2022, was filled with MPLS opening ceremonies, national insight seminars, leadership seminars, diagnostic tests, character and etiquette education seminars, and entertainment in the form of hot seat games.
On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, MPLS will be opened with a Kahoot game. Then the students will be taught some knowledge about the extra-curricular and academic regulations, plastic waste processing, socialization of the independent curriculum, socialization of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students,s and closed with a game of "hide and seek."
For Wednesday, July 13, 2022, MPLS will also be filled with positive and fun activities, namely anonymous QnA games, literacy, numeracy, AN socialization, mental health education seminars, amazing race games, insight into the Wiyata Mandala, and socialization related to the school library.
The fourth day of MPLS on Thursday, July 14, 2022, will be filled with myths, facts & puzzles, socialization of school facilities and infrastructure, youth health, the announcement of lesson schedules, and class division.
And the last day, Friday, July 15, 2022, was a clean-up activity followed by planting mangrove trees.
"The participants involved in this MPLS are 39 students. In its implementation, teachers and student councils are involved," he said.
He hopes that, by implementing this MPLS, new students of SMA Widiatmika will have the character of Pancasila students, as stated in the MPLS theme.
