Creative and Innovative! Widiatmika High School Students Win Award in Entrepreneurship Competition

JIMBARAN – Students from Widiatmika High School once again showcased their outstanding achievements at Bima Mega Fest, organized by Bintang Mandiri School Jimbaran. This time, the Widiatmika High School team secured second place in the entrepreneurship competition for the junior and senior high school category.

The team was represented by Sanjaya Putra Kartika, Ni Komang Ayu Tria Amanda Putri, Graciea Darmawan Suharjono, and Ni Putu Martha Pratiwi Jaya, all of whom are in the eleventh grade. They introduced a business innovation called Ruang Memori, a practical and affordable photo booth experience. Their inspiration stemmed from the rising trend of photo booths in shopping malls, which are highly popular among young people.

Sanjaya, as the team leader, explained that Ruang Memori offers four main services: instant polaroid prints, polaroid pattern prints with colored borders, photostrips featuring three pictures in a single strip, and a personal photographer service that allows customers to choose their own shooting locations and styles.

The uniqueness of this concept made Ruang Memori a highlight at Bima Mega Fest. Unlike most participants who presented culinary businesses, Ruang Memori stood out by attracting significant attention and receiving many orders due to the absence of direct competitors in this category. This distinct advantage played a key role in securing the second-place position.

"We are very happy and didn’t expect to win. Coincidentally, during the winner announcement, we weren’t at the venue due to some issues at our booth. However, when we heard the news, we felt incredibly proud and grateful for this achievement," said Sanjaya.

This success was made possible by the full support of Widiatmika High School teachers, particularly the Vice Principal for Student Affairs, I Kadek Kusuma Mandala Putra. According to Sanjaya, throughout the event, Mandala assisted the team with various tasks, from moving props to managing the booth.

Meanwhile, the Vice Principal for Public Relations, Putu Mita Wulandani, expressed the school’s pride in the students’ enthusiasm and creativity in developing a business idea. Widiatmika High School has a strong commitment to instilling an entrepreneurial spirit in its students.

"We are very grateful for this achievement. Widiatmika High School consistently supports entrepreneurship skill development through the Entrepreneurship subject, which is implemented from the tenth to the twelfth grade. Additionally, we regularly train students in business practices through various school events, such as the Jimbaran Education Festival, where all students are required to run a bazaar as part of their entrepreneurship training," she explained.

Mita also advised Sanjaya and the team not to become complacent. She emphasized the importance of humility and the willingness to continue learning and growing in the field of entrepreneurship.

"We hope this achievement serves as the first step for them to keep innovating and creating. The world of entrepreneurship demands creativity and perseverance, so never stop learning and exploring new opportunities," she concluded.

With this victory, Widiatmika High School once again proves itself as an institution that excels not only in academics but also in nurturing creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial-minded young generations.
