Pradnya Maheswari Wins Second Place in FLS2N at the Bali Province Level

JIMBARAN - Widiatmika High School student I Gusti Agung Ayu Pradnya Maheswari made the school proud in the National Student Art Festival and Competition (FLS2N) at the Bali Provincial High School in 2022. She won second place in the poster design competition.

Pradnya Maheswari said that she was very grateful to be able to win second place, and for her, this was his first achievement at the provincial level in the field of poster design.

Previously, he had also participated in a cartoon-making competition at the same event but did not qualify for the top three.

"From the seventh grade of junior high school, she often participated in drawing competitions with paints and crayons. For this poster design, this is the first time I participated directly," said this class XII IPA student.

She admitted that she became interested in the world of digital image art at the end of 2020.

Maheswari continued to study fine arts until she finally received FLS2N information for the poster design field. She was mentored by a cultural arts teacher, I Putu Nana Partha Wijaya.

"The concept I adopted is based on the theme of Building Indonesian Culture. I use Kayonan, a unifying symbol of Indonesian culture," Maheswari said.

At first, Maheswari admitted that it was challenging to come up with ideas. However, the concept became more mature after consulting art and culture teachers.

"I was given an idea related to the composition of the picture so that the poster can be finished and I can win," said this woman from Jimbaran.

"I created this work to build a sense of pride in our culture and invite all people, especially in the arts sector, to revive the passion for art and culture in Indonesia so that it will return to the world. In line with the theme that I carried, namely the Momentum for the Awakening of Indonesian Arts and Culture, "she added.

Meanwhile, I Putu Nana Partha Wijaya, said the competition would be held in July 2022.

"Indeed, she already has potential in the arts. I need to polish it," Nana said.

Those consulted were about the concept of the poster, the suitability of the theme, the placement of the text, and the writing used.

In this competition, participants must send their results to the committee for evaluation.
