JIMBARAN – Widiatmika High School held learning activities outside the classroom on 20 October 2022 at Jimbaran Hub. This activity involved 130 students and 20 teachers.
The head of SMA Widiatmika, I Made Suadnyana, said this extracurricular activity is an annual program. For 2022, it will be held by visiting the Bali Fab Fest exhibition at Jimbaran Hub.
"This is a tit-for-tat with learning outside our school. In essence, this activity is titled Makervese: Open Day to the Public Bali FAB FEST 2022," said Suadnyana.
Suadnyana said this activity featured many works in 3D printing, space, culture, and technology, including laser printers for palm leaves.
"What was interesting for our students yesterday was related to 3D printing. Besides that, there is also a talk show with the speaker, Ilham Habibie, Pak Habibie's son," he said.
With this activity, his party wants to introduce the world of technology and can inspire creativity so that creative works are born. This is also related to strengthening the profile of Pancasila students and implementing an independent curriculum.
"Students are happy to be able to learn outside the classroom. This is a kind of interesting thread between what the school learns and what develops outside," he added.
In addition, students also design entrepreneurial projects in the form of macrame or rope knot crafts.
"They make bags, key chains, wall decorations. So they don't only get stimulation from inside the school but also outside the school," he said.
I Made Suadnyana admit that he would continue to open up to various parties who have a good vision and mission for education.
Suadnyana also hopes that after the students graduate, they can become problem-solver agents in society.
