JIMBARAN - Widiatmika High School held regular health checks to ensure the well-being of the school community. On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, an eye and dental examination was conducted by Omsa Medic for students, teachers, and staff.
According to the Principal of Widiatmika High School, I Made Suadnyana; health checks are conducted at least once every semester.
"We have already conducted two health checks this semester," he said.
Suadnyana emphasized the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and eyes, especially for students, as poor dental and vision health can negatively impact their learning and academic performance.
"The eyes are vital, especially with many children using gadgets extensively. It is important to have regular check-ups," he said.
Suadnyana also stressed the need to address eye problems urgently, which can be done by reducing gadget use or utilizing assistive devices such as glasses or other advanced technology.
The eye and dental health examinations took place during school breaks and were accompanied by health socialization activities and workshops at private universities in Bali.
Earlier in September 2022, blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, and height measurements were also carried out in collaboration with the South Kuta Health Center.
