JIMBARAN - Widiatmika High School reaffirmed its commitment to fostering educational collaboration among the school, students, and parents through its annual Family Education Talkshow, which this year featured Yuliana Jiu Dias, a renowned pastry chef and influencer, as the guest speaker. This event, part of the Jimbaran Education Festival (JEF) 2024 series, was held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, and attended by students, teachers, and parents of Widiatmika High School.
Luh Gede Krismayanti, Chairperson of the JEF Committee at Widiatmika High School, explained that the Family Education Talkshow is a tangible example of the school’s synergy with parents in supporting education.
"This event showcases how active collaboration between schools and parents can create a space for sharing knowledge and inspiration that greatly benefits students," she stated.
Yuliana, a parent of a Widiatmika High School student, shared tips on recognizing one’s potential and diligently pursuing chosen fields. During her session, she recounted her inspiring career journey, including how she and her husband successfully developed their own pudding decoration tools after struggling to find suitable equipment from overseas.
In addition, Yuliana emphasized the importance of consistent and creative promotional strategies. She shared her experience of leveraging social media to create unique content that successfully garnered widespread attention. This aligns with Widiatmika High School’s values of encouraging character development and creativity among students.
Krismayanti added that the event is designed to strengthen the role of parents as strategic partners in supporting students' education.
"Through events like this, students not only gain new insights but also see firsthand how their parents can be role models and sources of inspiration," she remarked.
