Two Widiatmika Vocational School Students Excel at EYTHO 2025 Reels Video Competition

PANJER – Two students from Widiatmika Vocational School, Yuki Nayla Zulfa and Satria Wicaksana Samudera Anggara, achieved remarkable success by winning first and second place in the reels video competition at the Ezzy Youth Tourism & Hospitality Olympics (EYTHO) 2025. The competition, organized by Elizabeth International, took place on Friday, January 24, 2025, as part of a five-day event series (January 20–24).

The EYTHO 2025 reels video competition featured the theme of showcasing the excitement of various competitions and the facilities available at Elizabeth International’s campus. Yuki Nayla Zulfa, an 11th-grade student specializing in Visual Communication Design (DKV), secured first place with her documentary-style video. Her video highlighted the series of competitions from the first to the final day, accompanied by competitive-themed music that enhanced the video’s atmosphere.

"I captured many videos gradually, combined them into one cohesive piece, and carefully chose music to match the mood. The strength of my work lies in the video shooting techniques, editing process, appropriate choice of background music, and well-composed text elements," Yuki explained.

Her hard work paid off, and Yuki expressed her joy at achieving such a positive result. Participating in the competition was a way for her to test her videography skills while bringing pride to Widiatmika Vocational School.

"This victory proves that I am capable, but it also reminds me to stay humble and continue improving my videography skills for the future," she added.

Meanwhile, Satria Wicaksana Samudera Anggara, a 10th-grade student specializing in DKV, earned second place with a video titled “Step by Step”. His video delivered a simple yet meaningful message through captivating visuals, a strong storyline, and the use of bass-heavy audio that emphasized the competitive spirit.

"I felt a mix of emotions when I was announced as the second-place winner. I was happy, proud, and nervous at the same time. All my hard work paid off in the end. This achievement motivates me to keep learning and improving," Satria shared.

Support from the School and Mentor's Role

Both Yuki and Satria agreed that their success would not have been possible without the full support of the school and their mentor. Their mentor, who also serves as the Head of the DKV Program at Widiatmika Vocational School, Ni Putu Intan Pradnya Parmita, explained that the school provided intensive training for the participants before the competition.

"The training included video shooting techniques, editing processes, and tips on how to package competition moments into creative and visually appealing reels. We also provided moral support to build the students' confidence. Additionally, the school covered expenses such as registration fees and transportation costs," Intan elaborated.

This achievement serves as a major motivation for Yuki and Satria to continue honing their skills. Both are determined to participate in more competitions in the future as a platform to enhance their abilities and competitive spirit.

"This accomplishment shows that with hard work, support from the school, and a willingness to learn, we can achieve even greater things in the future," they said enthusiastically.
