MANGUPURA – To prepare for the new academic year 2022/2023, Widiatmika Vocational School held a 2013 Curriculum review on Friday, June 24, 2022. This activity was held at Widiatmika Vocational School, which all teachers attended. Also present at the event as an invitation was the Vocational High School Disdikpora Bali Province Drs supervisor. I Gusti Made Bawasuarya, M.Pd. and the founder of the foundation, Drs. I Nyoman Sudiatma, M.Pd. In addition, three representatives from the business and industrial world (DUDI).
In carrying out the review, several inputs from supervisors and DUDI representatives to improve the quality of learning implementation at the Widiatmika Vocational School.
The head of the Widiatmika Vocational School, I Gede Inten said three documents were reviewed: the draft curriculum document, syllabus, and lesson plan (RPP).
"Because the 2013 Curriculum is already running at Widiatmika Vocational School, there are not many revisions. Only editorial improvements and some constructive input," he said.
The supervisors provide advice related to grade promotion and input for the vision and mission—the rest only improvements in the grammar of the sentence, which the school immediately followed up. In addition, DUDI representatives also provided input related to aligning the curriculum applied in schools with the current business and industrial world.
"We get the latest information related to the current industrial world. So what is taught at school is following the world of industry and business. Therefore, we make adjustments," he added.
The input will be adjusted to the Basic Competence (KD). Furthermore, it will be stated as indicators of competency achievement in the RPP. "This is a transfer of knowledge from DUDI related to the industrial world. The existence of DUDI is significant for us in SMK, and we hope for constructive input," he said.
By reviewing the 2013 Curriculum, Gede Inten hopes that the quality of learning at Widiatmika Vocational School will increase in the upcoming 2022/2023 new school year. In addition, there is also new knowledge obtained from input by the reviewer.
"We also hope that there will be new policies related to the curriculum from the Education Office so that there will continue to be quality improvements," he added.
In 2022, Widiatmika Vocational School will implement two curricula: the 2013 Curriculum and the Independent Learning Curriculum. Specifically for the Independent Learning Curriculum, of the three options offered by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Widiatmika Vocational School chose the Independent Changed Curriculum option. By independently changing this, the education unit applies the Independent Curriculum by using the teaching tools provided and simply applying differentiated learning.
After reviewing the 2013 Curriculum, on Monday, June 27, 2022, Widiatmika Vocational School will hold a check for the Independent Learning Curriculum.
