JIMBARAN - As a vocational education institution, Widiatmika Vocational School is here to emphasize strengthening character education, literacy, and seven 21st-century skills. These seven skills include critical thinking, collaboration and leadership, agility and adaptability, initiative and entrepreneurial spirit, effective communication, ability to access and analyze information, and curiosity and imagination.
To achieve these missions, the Widiatmika Vocational School Curriculum is also adapted to the demands of the business world and industry development based on science and technology. There are various programs owned by this school, ranging from counseling guidance, extra-curricular development, skill competency development, and character education programs to fieldwork practices.
This vocational school has three concentrations of expertise: hospitality, culinary, and visual communication design. To improve student competence, this school also collaborates with various companies in the DU/DI, which are engaged in the hospitality, restaurant, and printing sectors.
The educators are also experienced in their fields with an undergraduate and postgraduate educational background and experts from professional circles. Meanwhile, the building and study rooms also have adequate supporting facilities.
Even Widiatmika Vocational School has assessors verified by the Professional Certification Institute (LSP). The assessor is the Head of the Culinary Arts Program at the Widiatmika Vocational School, Kadek Dwiatmika Benny Suputra, as an assessor in the field of catering and entrepreneurship.
In terms of increasing student competence, Widiatmika Vocational School also holds various programs, one of which is the Guest Teacher program on an ongoing basis. Every semester, Widiatmika Vocational School presents at least 50 guest teachers. Thus, the learning system in schools can be aligned with the model of the world of work. With its various programs and supports, Widiatmika Vocational School always produces competitive students in the industrial and business world.
In addition, one of the activities, entitled Widiatmika Vocational School (WVS) Competition, was also supported by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno. This activity is the largest vocational competency competition in Bali for junior high school students, which was held in January 2022.
