JIMBARAN – Students of the Visual Communication Design (DKV) competency program at Widiatmika Vocational High School attended a film production class led by I Kadek Yuliana Putra from Silurbarong.co on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. The class was part of the school’s guest teacher program, a regular initiative that brings industry practitioners into vocational learning.
During the session, students learned the complete film production workflow, covering pre-production, production, and post-production stages. The class also introduced the Triangle System as a working framework to help students understand the relationship between story ideas, visual execution, and technical planning in film production.
In the pre-production session, the guest speaker discussed sample planning documents to show how ideas are translated into scripts and storyboards. One of the materials used was a concept titled Dia Memakai Wajahku, which was examined as an example of story development, scene arrangement, and visual planning for a short film.
“Planning documents help the team understand the direction of the story and technical aspects, so the shooting process can run more smoothly,” he said.
Through the discussion, students were guided to understand that pre-production is not only about story planning, but also about preparing technical needs, locations, and work readiness before filming begins.
This film production class is part of vocational learning in the DKV program at Widiatmika Vocational High School, designed to bring students closer to real industry workflows. The guest teacher program continues to be developed as a learning space that strengthens students’ understanding through practice and real case studies.
