JIMBARAN – Widiatmika Vocational School continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving education quality by adapting to advancements in educational technology. One of the initiatives is the introduction of a Learning Management System (LMS), which was the focus of a socialization session held on Monday, December 23, 2024.
“The purpose of this LMS socialization is to evaluate and explore better e-learning solutions to enhance the quality of education at our school,” said Wely Suriya Handika, Vice Principal for Public Relations at Widiatmika Vocational School.
The LMS is a technology-based platform designed to facilitate the distribution of learning materials, classroom management, and the evaluation of teaching and learning processes in a digital format. With features such as content management, interactive teaching tools, and progress tracking, the LMS is expected to boost learning efficiency.
The socialization session was attended by 14 participants, including teachers and staff from Widiatmika Vocational School. The agenda included an introduction to the LMS, a presentation of its key features, and a usage simulation.
Wely explained that the LMS platform holds significant potential for enhancing teaching effectiveness due to its flexibility in accommodating the needs of both teachers and students. Additionally, the platform offers substantial advantages in managing educational processes.
“This platform supports digital administrative management for teachers, provides recorded lessons for those unable to attend classes, distributes materials such as presentations, images, and videos, and includes a question bank for general subjects. It also generates automated reports identifying students involved in cheating during exams,” Wely elaborated.
The LMS is also designed to foster student engagement through features like interactive worksheets, quizzes with visual and video elements, and integration with web-based classroom systems. These tools aim to encourage students to become more active and independent in their learning.
However, Wely emphasized that the decision to adopt the LMS for regular use at Widiatmika Vocational School remains under evaluation.
“The results of this socialization will be reviewed by the Principal of Widiatmika Vocational School and other relevant stakeholders. The final decision will be carefully considered by the school and the Widiatmika Foundation,” Wely concluded.
This initiative reflects Widiatmika Vocational School's dedication to staying adaptive to technological advancements in education, ensuring more effective and relevant learning experiences for the younger generation in the digital era.
