JIMBARAN – A proud moment for Widiatmika School as its joint futsal team, comprising students from Widiatmika High School and Vocational School, claimed first place in the Taman Rama Jimbaran (TRJ) Tournament held on April 29–30, 2025. The victory reaffirms the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also students’ talents and interests in sports.
I Putu Pujastawa Putra, Vice Principal for Student Affairs at Widiatmika Vocational School, explained that the team was formed through a rigorous selection process. The result was a cohesive squad made up of selected students from both educational levels.
"We believe every student has great potential. Our role as educators is to guide and facilitate that potential. This futsal team is a true example of how collaboration, discipline, and enthusiasm can lead to remarkable achievements," said Pujastawa.
The winning team included six students from Widiatmika Vocational School: I Made Bas Karang, I Putu Carlo Santana Pearce, I Wayan Yudi Mulyawan, Putu Satria Dharma, Calvin Krisna Try Paksy, and Moses de Makhaela Leuwol, along with four students from Widiatmika High School: I Kadek Prastya Sihandharma, Cruz Antoine van Cauwenberg, Alesandro Bagus da Silva, and I Putu Rahel Saputra.
From the outset, the Widiatmika futsal team showed dominance. They defeated strong opponents such as Asian Intercultural School Bali (AISB), CHIS School, and Taman Rama Denpasar. In the semifinals, they secured a resounding 10–2 win over the host team. The final match against Sekolah Tunas Daud was more challenging, but with solid teamwork and relentless spirit, Widiatmika emerged victorious with a 6–4 scoreline.
Pujastawa noted that this success was the result of consistent training, strategic gameplay, and strong team chemistry. The weekly futsal extracurricular program has served as a vital platform for students to build both their skills and character outside the classroom.
"We hope this achievement inspires other students to grow and have the courage to showcase their potential. Widiatmika School will always be a place to grow, learn, and achieve," he concluded.
