JIMBARAN - The Student Leadership Basic Training (LDKS) for the OSIS board of Widiatmika Junior High School for the 2026/2027 term was held as an initial learning space for newly selected student leaders before their official inauguration. The activity took place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Widiatmika Junior High School campus in Jimbaran as part of the school’s student organization development program.
LDKS was designed to help OSIS members get to know one another while building strong teamwork from the beginning of their term. Through this activity, students were encouraged to develop healthy working relationships to ensure the organization can function effectively in the future.
According to the OSIS Coordinator of Widiatmika Junior High School, I Putu Adi Susanta, S.Or., the program focuses not only on organizational structure but also on character formation.
“The most important part of LDKS is building positive character, such as leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and communication, because these become the foundation for students in organizing and working together,” he said.
Throughout the program, participants took part in a series of activities including leadership training, introduction to OSIS divisions, program planning discussions, and team-building sessions. Leadership materials were delivered as a foundation for students to understand their roles, responsibilities, and how to work systematically within an organization.
I Putu Adi Susanta added that the expected outcome of the program is the development of strong leadership character and integrity among students. “We hope the values learned in LDKS will not only be applied at school, but also in their families and communities,” he explained.
Through this program, Widiatmika Junior High School continues its commitment to preparing students as young leaders who are able to work collaboratively, think critically, and take responsibility. LDKS serves as an important first step in shaping a solid OSIS board for the 2026/2027 term.
