Teachers at Widiatmika Middle School Participate in Technical Training on the Use of the 'Kelas Pintar' Learning Management System

JIMBARAN – On Thursday, November 28, 2024, teachers at Widiatmika Middle School participated in a technical training session on the use of the 'Kelas Pintar' Learning Management System (LMS). This initiative aims to enhance the integrity of students in conducting exams honestly and independently.

Ni Luh Putu Mira Suantari, the Deputy Head of Curriculum at Widiatmika Middle School, explained that the training, held in the teachers' room, was conducted in a semi-formal manner with in-depth discussions. The material covered included how to log in, profile settings, question input, and scheduling tests and exams. The implementation of the 'Kelas Pintar' LMS is a step forward for the school in adopting technology for assessment activities.

"Previously, we used a different LMS but found several shortcomings. Therefore, we switched to the 'Kelas Pintar' LMS, which offers more advantages," said Mira.

The 'Kelas Pintar' LMS is a technology-based educational platform that facilitates the distribution of learning materials and class management digitally. With features such as content management, interactive teaching tools, and progress tracking, this LMS can enhance the efficiency of the teaching and learning process.

Mira emphasized, "One of the main advantages of the 'Kelas Pintar' LMS is its ability to detect and prevent cheating during exams. This is crucial for shaping the character of our students to uphold integrity in completing tests and exams. For instance, if a student attempts to cheat by searching on Google, taking screenshots, or seeking help from AI platforms like ChatGPT, the system will immediately notify the teacher of the violation."

According to Mira, the use of the LMS supports not only an active and independent learning process but also the development of students' character.

"We have seen the benefits of this system, especially in detecting dishonest efforts during exams, where the system directly notifies the concerned teacher of any violations," she added.

The 'Kelas Pintar' LMS will be implemented for the first time in the Final Semester Assessment (PAS) scheduled for December 2-6, 2024. Previously, students participated in trials to understand how to access the LMS and complete tasks within it.

"We plan to apply the training outcomes in the upcoming PAS activities. Each subject teacher will determine how to integrate it into daily teaching, as the LMS also provides teaching materials and practice questions that can be utilized to improve the quality of classroom learning," concluded Mira.
