JIMBARAN - The Widiatmika Junior High School principal, Agus Suastika, was chosen among thirteen teachers, principals, and school supervisors in Badung Regency who will participate in the "Dissemination of Quality Mapping Results, Supervision, and Facilitation Based on SNP in Bali Province in 2021". The event will occur from November 29 to December 2, 2021, at the Conrad Bali Hotel, Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua.
Agus qualified to that stage with his report on Project Based School (PjBS) - 1 Student 1 Project, the breakthrough of the school in interpreting the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom of Learning), a program by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, Technology, and Higher Education to support the freedom to learn.
"There were 35 schools that had been chosen as samples to do projects to support the ministry's program," Agus said on Friday (26/11/2021).
"PjBS has an impact on the implementation of Merdeka Belajar. That's what I will disseminate," he continued.
Agus explained that Widiatmika High School invented three programs to support Merdeka Belajar, namely the Widiatmika Digital Literacy Program (Program Literasi Digital Widiatmika, Proligika), Successing ANBK, and the PjBS. In the PjBS, the school provided categories of science, technology, art, to entrepreneurship for children to participate in.
Random interviews with several students suggested that they have innovated many things outside of school lessons. Some often experimented with cooking, music, and making games. In the PjBS, those talents appeared to the surface. Some students paint like experts. Some kids made mixers with used materials to puppets with cardboard.
Then an exhibition will be held to showcase all the works made by the students. Agus said, based on the assessment parameters conducted by the Ministry, PjBS made it to the "good" category. "From the questionnaire results, the impact of PjBS on the implementation of Merdeka Learning, students are very committed to finishing the program with a score of 986 or 75 percent, make it to the high category," he concluded.
