Science Camp, an Event for Widiatmika Middle School Students for Natural Exploration and Self-Exploration

BULELENG - Widiatmika Junior High School held the Science Camp program after two years. This activity was stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Science Camp lasts for two days, during which students are allowed to explore their interests, talents, and nature by spending the night together at the camp. Undoubtedly, this program has brought joy to students who have been forced to struggle with online learning.

 

“For sure, they admit that they are pleased. The students enjoy all the activities. They all feel happy to be with their friends socializing and chatting," said I Dewa Agung Made Candrakusuma, Chairman of the Science Camp Committee, when contacted on Monday (4/18/2022).

There were many activities that Widiatmika Junior High School students attended during the Science Camp series. First, they were invited to pray together at Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, Bedugul.
After that, they immediately went to the Denbukit Park camping site.

 

After the break, the 125 students had the opportunity to present the project they had been working on since January 2022. The students then showed art performances according to their interests and interests. their talents.

“Students take pride in showing what they do. Because they are talented, the performing arts are not only music but also dances and so on,” explained Dewa.

So happy, continued Dewa. The students almost didn't even want to spend the night falling asleep. The next day, the students started the day with exercise before picking up the morning by climbing the hill around Lake Buyan.

"After that, we will hold a tug of war to the hula hoop," said Dewa.

 

This Science Camp is not only a place for students to refresh but also a meaningful moment for those who are about to let go of their junior high school years.

 

"Hopefully, they will love nature and their friends more, and this will be an unforgettable moment after they leave junior high school so that there are shared memories to remember for them to share with their friends at other schools," he said.
