MANGUPURA - Widiatmika Middle School continues to show its skills by achieving various achievements. After winning 1st place in the futsal tournament at the 5th Gasporin MA Al-Muhajirin Denpasar or Gasporin Arts and Sports Appreciation Festival, a student is showing his achievements by winning 1st place in a poster competition.
Ni Wayan Kirana Nariswari, a grade VIII student at Widiatmika Middle School who won 1st place in the Middle School/MTS Level Poster Design Contest in Bali in the framework of the 51st Anniversary of SMK Pandawa Bali Global Abiansemal.
Kirana said that this was the first prize she won when she took part in a poster competition. She also said she was happy with this achievement.
Kirana said she was immediately interested in participating after receiving information about the competition.
"For ideas or references, I got them from several sources on the internet. I also developed it with my imagination from these references," he explained.
Kirana also admitted that he had participated in competitions related to digital art, but at that time, he had not been successful. However, Kirana did not give up.
In the future, she will continue to practice and will try to participate in every competition related to art.
"And keep learning new things about digital and manual painting," she added.
Meanwhile, the cultural arts teacher at Widiatmika Middle School, Gede Maha Wijaya, said that after receiving a competition letter from Pandawa Bali Global Vocational School, the coaches selected the contestants. The posters were made with the theme of Hero's Day.
"I suggest that the participants from Widiatmika Middle School look for references about Heroes' Day and start making draft sketches if they get an idea," he said.
The coaching process is carried out via WhatsApp messages or face-to-face. In this competition, Widiatmika Middle School sent three participants.
