Widiatmika Middle School Wins 18 Medals at 2025 Badung Student Sports Week


BADUNG – Widiatmika Middle School once again affirmed its excellence in Badung Regency, not only in academics but also in non-academic fields. During the 2025 Badung Regency Student Sports Week (Porjar), Widiatmika students shone brightly, taking home 18 medals across various sports disciplines—demonstrating the effectiveness of the school’s holistic development system.

 

This series of outstanding achievements reflects the students' fighting spirit and discipline, supported by the full commitment of the school and parents in nurturing students' potential beyond the classroom.

 

The highest accolades came from Anak Agung Putu Kirana Ayunindya (Grade VII.2), who secured two gold medals in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle swimming events. Widiatmika's dominance in the pool was further solidified by I Made Wisnu Leksa Vedhananda Giri Putra (Grade VIII.2), who won gold in the 200-meter freestyle and silver in the 100-meter freestyle.

 

In pickleball, introduced this year as an exhibition event, the duo of I Putu Mezza Chandra Widiarta (VII.3) and Putu Wiandika (VII.5) earned silver in the boys’ doubles. A similar achievement came from Raja Qenza Putradhitya (VII.1), who secured silver in the boys’ high jump in athletics.

 

In taekwondo, I Putu Devara Mas Nijananda (VIII.2) earned silver in the under 61 kg category, while Made Branddom Junio (VII.5) added a bronze in the under 37 kg class.

 

Another proud achievement came from badminton, with Ni Kadek Sri Pradnya Paramitha (IX.2) winning silver in the girls’ singles event. In wushu, Putu Kenjiro Tirta Mahottama (VII.3) secured silver in chang quan and bronze in jian shu.

 

From the artistic gymnastics arena, Kinanti Anindita Praditya (IX.3) brought home two bronze medals in the floor and balance beam categories. In judo, Eka De Maere (VIII.4) earned bronze in the 60–66 kg boys’ division. Archery also proved fruitful with I Nyoman Aryandika Adi Mahesa (VII.4) taking two bronze medals in the qualification total and elimination rounds for the boys’ recurve division.

 

In addition to individual achievements, team spirit was reflected in the girls’ basketball team, which secured bronze after intense competition. Another notable performance came from Cikal Maulavi Prananjaya (IX.2), who earned bronze in the 200-meter surface diving event.

 

Widiatmika Middle School Principal, I Wayan Gus Arnawa, expressed his deepest appreciation for the students’ remarkable accomplishments at the 2025 Porjar.

 

"This success is the result of serious, focused, and continuous training. We hope it will serve as a positive catalyst for the athletic careers of our students to thrive in higher-level competitions," said Arnawa.

 

He added that the school remains committed to enhancing its student development system—not only through extracurricular programs but also through more intensive training via school-based sports clubs. This model has already been implemented for basketball and will soon expand to other sports.

 

With this strategic approach, Widiatmika Middle School is confident that its students will continue to achieve even greater success in the years to come.
