BADUNG - To implement the Motivating School program in schools, SMP Widiatmika launched two platforms at once. The online Counseling Guidance Room (Rubikon) platform and Anti-Bullying Online. This program was launched on Thursday, July 14, 2022, to coincide with the Widiatmika Junior High School curriculum review.
The head of the Widiatmika Junior High School, Agus Suastika Adiputra, when contacted Monday, July 18, 2022, said that the Widiatmika Junior High School is part of the second generation driving school in Badung Regency. One of the implementations is the digitalization program in schools.
"In the process of digitizing this school, we want to strengthen services as well as those that provide convenience for students in the online-based learning process," said Agus.
Agus said that these two programs have different goals, but they provide comfort in learning.
The Rubikon program is intended for student consultation with counseling guidance teachers. So far, counseling services are carried out where students come to the counseling guidance room. However, with the Rubikon, students can do online counseling.
"We hope that with this online system, students can be more open to counseling related to careers, learning problems, social issues, and personality," he said.
Students and parents can also provide counseling related to their children's condition.
"For example, busy parents can "confide" about the condition of their children from home with this system," he added.
Meanwhile, the Anti Bullying Online program is intended to anticipate bullying in schools. Especially during this pandemic period, most students interact outside of school.
"The bullying will make the atmosphere not conducive, students are reluctant to study, so they don't want to go to school because they are afraid," he said.
So that this system is expected to be a medium of consultation for students regarding their psychological conditions, students can be independent in learning without any pressure.
To use this program, the user first scans the bar code. Then you will be given an address integrated with Google Drive for the counseling teacher.
"Students can express all their problems. The counseling guidance teacher will classify the types of problems," he said.
Furthermore, for handling, the teacher contacted the student via the WhatsApp message application. However, if this is not possible, students will be invited to a counseling guidance room, or teachers will visit students' homes.
With this program, he hopes students with problems can do direct consultation or counseling. However, according to Agus, students at SMP Widiatmika always feel comfortable participating in learning.
"We are still conducting socialization of this program to our students. We hope they become more introspective," he said.
As a driving school, SMP Widiatmika also wants to be an example for other schools and can adopt this program.
"Creative ideas must be issued as a driving school. Then spread it to other schools supporting the Independent Curriculum," said Agus.
