JIMBARAN – Widiatmika Middle School, one of the best private middle schools in South Kuta, continues to demonstrate its quality and competes on par with public schools in the area. Through a variety of outstanding programs, the school offers not only high-quality education but also inclusivity by providing generous scholarships. To promote its strengths and achievements, Widiatmika Middle School routinely conducts New Student Admission (PPDB) outreach to public elementary schools in Kuta and South Kuta.
The Vice Principal for Public Relations at Widiatmika Middle School, I Putu Agus Ariangga Iswara, stated that the school has achieved an A (Excellent) accreditation rating with a score of 97. Additionally, Widiatmika Middle School is a "Driving School" (Sekolah Penggerak) and a National Literacy Active School, driven by its vision: "Intelligent and Character-Building Education Based on the Values of the Pancasila Student Profile." As a Driving School, Widiatmika Middle School implements the Merdeka Curriculum with differentiated learning and the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5).
According to Ariangga, Widiatmika Middle School has various innovative programs designed to develop students’ talents and potential. One of its flagship programs is the Project Based School (PjBS), which provides a platform for students to express their creativity and interests through independent projects conducted over a semester. This program allows teachers to identify unique talents among students that may have gone unnoticed before. Interestingly, this initiative was implemented even before the government introduced the P5 program.
“In addition, we have the Widiatmika Digital Literacy Program (Proligika), which encourages students to read their favorite books and document them in a digital journal monitored by teachers. Another program is the Widiatmika Merdeka Speaking Podium (PWMB), a platform where students practice public speaking. In this program, students can discuss social issues or share personal experiences in multiple languages, including Indonesian, Balinese, English, and even Japanese,” explained Ariangga.
Widiatmika Middle School also offers generous scholarships for prospective students. During the First Admission Phase, which runs from November to December 2024, the school provides scholarships of Rp 10,000,000 for general applicants and Rp 11,000,000 for alumni applicants. Meanwhile, during the Second Admission Phase from January to February 2025, scholarships of Rp 6,750,000 and Rp 7,750,000 are offered for general and alumni applicants, respectively.
“The scholarship amounts vary depending on the admission phase, which concludes in June. These scholarships cover initial enrollment fees as well as tuition fees during the students’ time at Widiatmika Middle School. Additionally, there are scholarships for academic and non-academic achievements, with amounts adjusted based on the level of accomplishment. The Widiatmika Foundation also offers scholarships for new students who have siblings currently enrolled at Widiatmika Middle School,” he added.

Ariangga mentioned that Widiatmika Middle School enjoys a strong reputation in the community. However, many public elementary school students are not fully aware of the school’s activities and programs. Therefore, PPDB outreach is conducted to provide a more comprehensive introduction to Widiatmika Middle School’s offerings.
“For this reason, we showcase and explain our programs to elementary school students, helping them and their parents choose a school that matches their interests and talents. We aim to demonstrate that the quality of Widiatmika Middle School is comparable to, if not better than, public middle schools in South Kuta,” he stated.
Some of the programs highlighted during the outreach include the Science Camp held every October, Study Tours outside Bali in January or February, the Cultural Parade (Kirab Budaya) in March, and the Jimbaran Education Festival (JEF) every December. These programs are designed to provide students with enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences.
As of January 2025, Widiatmika Middle School has visited 19 out of 30 targeted public elementary schools, while the remaining 11 are still in the confirmation process. Additionally, outreach is also being conducted to private elementary schools. So far, 85 prospective students have registered out of the total capacity of 125 students.
