JIMBARAN – The 4th Jimbaran Education Festival (JEF) officially opened on Monday, 8 December 2025 at the Widiatmika School complex in Jimbaran. This year’s program features a series of educational activities, art performances, and interschool competitions involving all levels from PAUD to Vocational School, along with participation from various schools across Bali.
The theme “Growing Together: Belajar, Berbagi, Berdaya” was selected to underline that education does not take place only in classrooms but evolves through shared learning experiences involving students, teachers, parents, and the wider community. Through this theme, Widiatmika seeks to emphasize collaboration and meaningful contribution within the educational ecosystem.
The Chairperson of the 4th JEF Committee, I Dewa Agung Made Candrakusuma, S.Pd., noted that this year’s festival has developed beyond competitions into a wider public educational platform.
“This year we would like to emphasize that education is not merely about competing, but about strengthening one another as a learning community,” he stated.
The festival runs until 12 December 2025, featuring competitions for kindergarten up to senior high school and vocational school levels, student exhibitions, art performances, and cross-level cultural activities. Students from various schools in Bali are taking part, enabling wider networks and learning experiences outside the classroom. Widiatmika has also prepared social programs as part of its contribution to the Jimbaran community.
The Chairman of the Widiatmika Foundation, Drs. I Nyoman Sudiatma, M.Pd., views JEF as an educational platform that offers opportunities for students to present their learning processes while collaborating with others.
“This activity provides space for students to present their learning outcomes while involving the three centers of education, namely the school, parents, and community,” he mentioned.
The relevance of this year’s theme was also highlighted by I Nyoman Agus Satwika Ariada, ST., Head of Junior High School Education, who represented the Badung Regency Education Office.
“The theme Growing Together is highly relevant to current educational challenges that require adaptive, collaborative, and human-centered learning,” he said.
Since its first implementation in 2022, the Jimbaran Education Festival has evolved from a competition event into a public education festival. Its fourth edition presents a more comprehensive curatorial approach aligned with Widiatmika’s philosophy of education that is grounded, humanistic, and relevant to students’ futures.
Widiatmika hopes that JEF will continue to serve as a meeting space for students, families, and the Jimbaran community in interpreting education while becoming a shared learning experience that grows from year to year. The program is expected to develop into an annual agenda that remains relevant and meaningful for students.
