JIMBARAN – The Jimbaran Education Festival, an annual event organized by Yayasan Widiatmika, is returning for the third time from December 9 to 12, 2024. The festival offers a variety of competitions for students from kindergarten to middle school, with prizes including trophies, certificates, and scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year worth millions of rupiah.
The Chairman of the 3rd Jimbaran Education Festival, I Putu Pujastawa Putra, explained that the event aims to bring together schools from early childhood education to senior high schools and vocational institutions within the South Kuta District and Badung Regency.
“We hope the community will become more familiar with the Jimbaran Education Festival, which has been held annually since 2022. The festival is also expected to boost enthusiasm for educational activities and provide a platform for students to express their creativity,” said Pujastawa.
This year’s festival adopts the theme Mindful, Meaningful, Joyful, which emphasizes three core principles of deep learning. This approach encourages students to gain a profound understanding of material, think critically, communicate effectively, and collaborate successfully across disciplines.
“Mindful learning focuses on understanding the diverse needs of students. Meaningful learning involves active student engagement in the learning process, while joyful learning ensures that learning is both enjoyable and enriching,” Pujastawa added.
The festival’s competitions are designed to cultivate students’ potential and creativity. To date, 238 participants have registered for this year’s event.
Kindergarten students will compete in activities such as coloring, picture puzzles, solo singing, and the Pendet dance. For elementary school students, there are Olympiads in mathematics, science, social studies, and English. Meanwhile, middle school students can participate in subject Olympiads, news reading, storytelling, solo singing, and photography contests.
“Winners will receive trophies, certificates, and PPDB scholarships as a form of recognition for their achievements,” said Pujastawa.
All activities will take place at Widiatmika School. The Jimbaran Education Festival reflects Yayasan Widiatmika’s ongoing commitment to advancing education and building an inspiring learning environment in Badung Regency.
