JIMBARAN — Widiatmika Foundation celebrated its 21st anniversary on Friday, December 13, 2024. The event, held at New Bayang Café, was filled with joy, togetherness, and optimism, reaffirming the foundation's commitment to providing quality education.
“Widiatmika Foundation aims to remain a pioneer in educational innovation, stay adaptive to changing times, and meet society's demand for quality education,” said the Chairman of Widiatmika Foundation, Keyza Pratama Widiatmika.
On this occasion, Keyza emphasized the importance of collaboration among students, parents, teachers, and the community to achieve educational success. He stated that collaboration is the key to nurturing future generations capable of facing the challenges of tomorrow.
Throughout 2024, Widiatmika Foundation achieved several notable milestones, including initiating the Jimbaran Education Festival (JEF), which successfully ran for its third consecutive year. Additionally, student enrollment across schools under the foundation’s management increased by 40%, reflecting the public's trust in the quality of education provided.
The history of Widiatmika Foundation began with Bimbingan Belajar Plus, a tutoring program founded by I Nyoman Sudiatma. Initially designed to address gaps in formal education, it evolved into a formal educational institution in 2003 to fulfill the community's need for quality education.
The 21st-anniversary celebration of Widiatmika Foundation was attended by all members of the Widiatmika community, including board members, chairpersons, staff, supervisors, committees, teachers, and personnel from kindergarten, elementary, junior high, senior high, and vocational school units. Under the theme "Joyfully Together, Widiatmika Victorious", the event aimed to create a relaxed, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere.
The Head of the 2024 Anniversary Committee, M. Sahli Mustapa, explained that the celebration was not only a moment to commemorate the foundation's establishment and achievements but also an opportunity to strengthen the bonds and solidarity among teachers and staff from all units.
“We hope this event serves as a means to foster closer connections among Widiatmika members, creating stronger and more solid relationships between foundation staff, supervisors, committees, teachers, and personnel,” Sahli remarked.
The spirit of togetherness was cultivated through a variety of activities, such as cake and tumpeng cutting, video screenings of congratulatory messages from principals, teachers, and students from different units, and games like word guessing, rubber relay, and sentence relay. The day concluded with a communal meal, door prize distribution, and performances by teacher representatives from each unit.
“Games such as word guessing, rubber relay, and sentence relay became the highlight of the event. These activities involved all Widiatmika members regardless of their work units, fostering camaraderie and solidarity among foundation staff, supervisors, committees, teachers, and personnel,” Sahli added.
